What is this?

So, my first blog post...wow. I've been contemplating starting a blog for a while now, but I've always been a little hesitant. There aren't any more excuses now that I've created it, so why not?

I think I should note why I've decided to become a blogger and perhaps a bit about myself if there are any that might decide to read this.

My name is Katarine (Kat-uh-ree-nah), and I'm a 22 year old student at Savannah College of Art and Design (known as SCAD to many). I like a lot things, but I mostly spend my time reading, watching Netflix and Youtube videos, and working on copious amounts of homework. Pretty boring, I think. Haha.

Anyway, I've started this because I feel like I need some type of outlet to keep myself sane, and because when I decided to attend SCAD, I had no idea what the students actually thought. There are a few 'SCAD Vlogs' on Youtube that I frequented, but those were in short supply and left me looking for more. I know there are other people applying to SCAD who have questions about the school as well, and hopefully, I can be a light in a tunnel of darkness for some.

I also thought it might be nice to blog about...well, me - my life in Savannah and how I'm adjusting being away from home for the first time and going to a rather large college. I'll include pictures of my time here as well as my art because, well, I am an art student.

So, I guess if I had to sum up what I want to present in this blog, it would be - life, art, and Savannah.

Hopefully some will join me on this journey and we can rollercoaster life together.
